Write a Successful Application

Applying for NAC grants can be a highly competitive process for limited funds. The strongest applications demonstrate a deliberate and thoughtful planning process that includes an understanding of the population or community to benefit from the proposed project, an assessment of needs, and a concise explanation of how the project was designed and how it will be funded. Grant reviewers look for a clear demonstration that methods are in place to monitor, assess, promote and evaluate the project.

NAC strongly recommends that you read the FY17-18 Grant Guidelines thoroughly before beginning to work on your grant application.  All NAC grant applications must be submitted through Grants Online™ (GO™), our online grants management system. GO™ will guide you through the application process by combination of help screens, links to instructions, and checks for math and other errors. Follow GO™ instructions to register, create your applicant profile, answer narrative questions, complete the budget section, upload support material and submit the completed application.
