NOTE: The application period for FY2018 1st Cycle Marketing Grants will open on February 6, 2017 with an April 21, 2017 deadline
The Nevada Division of Tourism manages two Grant Programs offering key opportunities for partners around the state:
Rural Marketing Grants
Rural Marketing Grants help the rural communities of Nevada market their towns to potential visitors around the world in an effort to generate overnight stays. TravelNevada issues $1.65 million per year to rural partners for a variety of local marketing related projects (in communities outside of Reno and Las Vegas). Private businesses can apply for matching grants (which may include in-kind services), while nonprofits and public entities are eligible to receive funds outright.

Projects Relating to Tourism Grants
Projects Relating to Tourism Grants assist communities in making infrastructure improvements in an effort to improve the visitor experience.
Funded at $200,000 per biennium with funds allocated for a two-year timeframe, these grants help preserve Nevada’s historic and cultural structures while creating new infrastructure and wayfaring signage to retain and broaden Nevada’s appeal to travelers.Grant recipients must meet the criteria outlined in the Grant Guidelines and are generally non-profit organizations. There are two Marketing Grant cycles each fiscal year. The 1st cycle begins in early February with applications due in early April. The 2nd cycle begins in early August with applications due in late September.
